Man City Vs West Ham

Erling Haaland Breaks Premier League Scoring Record

Manchester City Move to Top of Table with Win

West Ham Suffer Home Defeat

Erling Haaland has broken the Premier League single-season scoring record with his 27th goal of the campaign as Manchester City moved back to the top of the table with a 3-0 victory over West Ham United.

The Norwegian striker, who joined City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, scored his 27th goal in just 24 Premier League appearances, breaking the previous record of 26 set by Sergio Aguero in 2014-15.

Haaland's goal came in the second half after Ilkay Gundogan had given City the lead in the first half. Fernandinho added a third late on to secure the victory and move City two points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table.

West Ham remain fourth after their defeat, five points behind City.

City's victory was their eighth in a row in all competitions and they are now unbeaten in 19 games since losing to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup in December.

Haaland has been a revelation for City this season and his goalscoring exploits have helped them to a commanding position in the Premier League title race.

The Norwegian's goalscoring record is all the more impressive given that he has missed several games through injury.

Haaland is now firmly established as one of the best strikers in the world and he will be hoping to fire City to a third Premier League title in a row.
