Everton Secure Premier League Status with Comeback Victory
Dramatic Win Keeps Toffees in Top Flight
Hodgson's Palace Relegated
Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a dramatic 85th-minute winner as Everton secured their Premier League status with a sensational comeback victory against Crystal Palace. The hosts, who will continue their 68-year stay in the top flight, came from two goals down to claim all three points.
Calvert-Lewin's winner came after Richarlison had pulled one back for Everton in the second half. Wilfried Zaha and Jean-Philippe Mateta had earlier given Palace a 2-0 lead.
The victory means Everton finish the season in 16th place, four points clear of the relegation zone. Palace, meanwhile, drop down to the Championship after a disappointing campaign under Roy Hodgson.
